If you are thinking of pursuing a career in the field of veterinary medicine a job as a veterinary technician may be for you. In order to become a veterinary technician you will need to get a degree and/or certification from a school accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association.
One of the first questions you will face in determining how to pursue your vet tech schooling is whether to attend school online or in a traditional setting. The choice is completely up to the student but it is imperative that you make sure either your online program or brick and mortar school must be certified by the AVMA. If you have a degree from an unaccredited school, you will not be able to pursue your career in veterinary medicine.
